100 Years Ago Today, Silver Miners Taught The Habs To Play...

Hey, our last big anniversary gave us a cracking result. Maybe we can count on the same luck again. If only we were so lucky as to be playing the team they now ice in Cobalt Ontario...




Anyway, if you're not full of centennial fatigue after a good holiday, then I recommend checking out the Our History entry on the Canadiens first victory on January 5, 1910. It is made more interesting by the newspaper clipping which puts Montreal's victory against the mining town into harsh perspective (Ottawa pummeling the challengers for their Cup).
